Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 consists of ten Nevron quests, all of which contribute to the completion of the ‘Aiding The Enemy’ achievement.
To truly experience the choice of the game and earn the full rewards, these quests are important.
The tenth and final Nevron quest is located at the Fountain – a most interesting area. You will gain access to this section in the third act, once Esquie obtains the ability to fly. At The Fountain, Blanche awaits your arrival to act as the final arbiter of your actions against the Nevrons you met.
Choice and Consequence with Blanche
At the Fountain, any player who has shown mercy to all quest-giving Nevrons is recognised as a compassionate player by Blanche. You receive a generous 100x Colour of Lumina for an act of mercy. Blanche remarks on your individuality, saying that Expedition 33 is unlike any before it because of these merciful expeditions.
On the other hand, if any Nevrons were defeated instead of spared, Blanche becomes hostile, which triggers a high-level battle potentially the hardest in the game. To fight Blanche in this scenario, a team must be at least level 80 for the battle’s toughness. If you win this fight, the rewards will be 10x Colour of Lumina and 2x Grandiose Chroma Catalyst, but the bigger one will be lost.
Whether you fight Blanche or spare her, you will unlock the ‘Aiding The Enemy’ achievement at the end of the encounter. The end Harvey’s gem is the conclusion of the Nevron questline, depending on your choice.
Additional Strategies Post-Quest
Once you finish the questline at the Fountain, you can actually go back to the old areas and fight Nevrons, even Blanche, after topping out mercy reward. Using this method, you can collect more rewards if you want to fully complete the game or gain resources.
Players can better prepare for the result at the Fountain if they know about the branching outcomes associated with their choices and their respective rewards.
