Perfect World recently announced the specifics of the CS Asia Championship (CAC) 2025. Moreover, the event is confirmed to be happening in October. This yeart’s tournament will feature 16 teams, with hefty prize money worth $1 million going to teams as well as players.
Direct Invitations and Qualifiers
Nine teams have already received direct invitations to the event, which will be held from 14 October to 19 October. The invited teams are.

Seven more slots will be filled in the regional qualifiers set to be held in Europe, America and China. Four teams from Europe, one team from the Americas, and two teams from China will qualify through these events.
Perfect World’s Legacy in Esports
Perfect World is already known for having successfully hosted the first-ever Counter-Strike Major in late 2024 in China. The event peaked at 1.3 million viewers and was an esports tournament success. Perfect World not only organizes important tournaments but also teamed with PGL for Dota 2 and CS2 events until 2026.
The tournament will include a group stage where the 16 teams are divided into two groups of eight. The teams will play through a double-elimination bracket – you must lose twice to be out of the running. Each group’s top team will qualify directly for the semi-finals while second and third-placed teams of each group will qualify for quarter-finals.

Playoffs and Grand Final
In the playoffs, there will be a single-elimination format, with best-of-three quarter-final, semi-final and third-place matches. The final contest of the tournament will be a Grand Final held over five unique Games.

The CS Asia Championship 2025 will allow Perfect World to further the expansion of esports in Asia while also ensuring a mixed representation of teams from all over the world.
