Completing the Generator Retrieval Mission in RoadCraft

RoadCraft is set in a world dedicated to the rebuilding of everything at any cost, from all terrain and decay. You are made to take back a generator from a dilapidated building early on. It might seem easy to drive, but there are many obstacles that you will need to negotiate.

Reaching the Generator’s Location

To begin the mission, head to the marked location – a deserted building site south-east of the Forward Base. The best way in still follows the dirt road used to connect the Forward Base to this place. The way is muddy and windy in parts, but it remains easy to follow. Given that this is one of the early missions, the Scout vehicle is a good choice for the terrain.

The entrance to the inside of the building is located at the southwest corner of the site. In order to create an opening into the structure, a ramp must be lowered. As soon as you approach the entrance, the instructions will appear  on the screen showing the player to use the Object Scanner. To find the generator, angle the scanner up from your position.

Once you spot the target container on the top level, head to the west to find a dirt path. It will then turn into a ramp, where a wooden plank with black and yellow stripes. Drive through the barrier to progress further.

Navigating to and Connecting the Generator

When you climb the ramp there are two new routes on the left. The first goes up a level with a marked plank, the second has a wooden board in front of it. Awaiting your instruction, carefully lower the ramp until it lands on the ground. Next, return to the opposite side and flip the second plank.

Cross this new platform to reach the generator’s location. With the winch mechanism inplace of your vehicle, hook the generator and prepare to extract it. Before leaving, look for another wooden panel on the left. Go under it to go down one final ramp that goes directly to the drop-off point in the building.

Finishing the Task and Collecting Rewards

Delivery of the generator at the drop zone concludes the mission. Players receive 1200 XP and $2520 worth of in-game money. This sets up a good early game foundation and moves forward the rebuilding campaign of RoadCraft.
