Getting Started with Vehicles Unlocking and Upgrading Vehicles in Death Stranding 2

In Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, the vehicles will be at the core of every porter’s hazardous trip to deliver cargo. The sequel gives vehicles and buildings a greater importance, allowing players to avoid heavier loads, rougher terrain, and more hostile threats.

The Tri-Cruiser, a new vehicle in the game, can be found early in Mexico, unlike in the previous title. In order to use this and other vehicles such as the Off-Roader, you will have to upgrade them with specialist parts and weapons to ward off Brigands, Ghost-Mechs, and also extend battery life.

Progression and Unlocking Vehicle Options

You mainly get your vehicles and upgrades through the story. Some advanced choices require players to reach a higher level of connection with specific facilities, preppers, or locations in Australia in-game. Vehicles can only be customised and upgraded at places with a garage or by using the DHV Magellan.

Tri-Cruiser Overview

The Tri-Cruiser is an e-trike that’s designed for power and speed. This vehicle is capable of driving right up a steep hill. It’s also able to make its way through water. But going through water will drain the battery much faster. It also has an interesting wheelie feature to ride over rough ground. If you use shock attacks on the Tri-Cruiser, it will be disabled.

Upgrading and Customising Vehicles

There are many dangerous environments and enemies you will face throughout Death Stranding 2. Enhancing vehicle performance and survivability can help you deal with such threats. You can increase your reputation with the factories to unlock extra parts and modifications. Customisation can only be done in hubs with a garage or through the DHV Magellan so be careful about your major deliveries.

Mastering Vehicle Strategies

The strategic advantage of gaining earlier access to vehicles is that players can better plan their routes, deal with larger deliveries and face tougher enemies. As the story progresses, upgrades and our facilities will improve vehicle parts for a smooth ride through Mexico and Australia.
