Death Stranding 2: On the Beach provides players with plenty of choices for taking on the many challenges of the game. Utilizing Strand in Combat

The Strand is a useful tool for securing cargo. It can also be used as a weapon for melee combat. Holding L2 lets players use Strand for parrying and stunning the enemies. Whenever an enemy strikes, the game slows down so the player can hit R2. It prevents hitting damage and stuns the opponent for a follow up attack after that. Strands can be used however many times desired, and always available from the start – meaning melee enemies can be countered with Strands. However, it doesn’t have much effect against armed foes unless one uses a finishing move from behind.

Navigating Enemy Outposts

There are enemy outposts in Death Stranding 2, but you can get around them if you want. However, fighting through them is often the fastest option. Day at the time affects the number of enemies. Normally, a lot less foes would attack during the night. Outposts change over time based on player actions. When you clear out a post, it lowers the threat level when you return. If you leave it alone, it raises the threat level and the equipment of the enemy. All players must work together to make things mutually beneficial and successful.

Enemy Revival Mechanics

Just like in the first Death Stranding, enemies in 2 can revive the fallen. To avoid repeats, you will need to tag enemies before entering an outpost, either by surveying from a distance or applying Dollman to check from above. This makes sure that all the enemies are present and cannot revive each other.

Preparing for BT Encounters

Before meeting a BT, be sure to have the right weapons. Most of Sam’s weapons don’t do much against BTs. So, you need to check your armory and upgrade your Sam by raising your star ranking at facilities. Weapons that can deal with both humans and BTs are always useful, they save a lot of space in your bag.

Utilizing Blood Grenades

Players can’t specifically find hematic rounds in Death Stranding 2, but you can take Blood Grenades with regular guns  If you throw a Blood Grenade at a BT, it will create a big cloud of blood. If you shoot through that cloud with a gun, your bullets will be hematic rounds. These are also very effective against BTs. This method is not ideal but can be lifesaving in a pinch.

Vehicles as Combat Tools

Death Stranding 2 has vehicles in it.  Basically, you want to ram your enemies with a car that will knock them out. You can also reverse a Tri-Cruiser over them to knock them out as well.  This technique can be applied to instigate a conflict with surprise as well as clear outposts quickly. Since vehicles are durable and readily available, they provide a reliable option for combat without needing to exit the vehicle.

Enabling Lethal Rounds

Gamers who like a more violent approach can use live rounds in Death Stranding 2. You can do this by putting a secret code on the weapon wheel. The use of lethal rounds must be carefully managed as every kill involves disposing of a body, which can adversely affect our grades for deliveries.

Enhancing Melee Combat

Although Sam’s punches might not be the most damaging yet, you can use cargo to enhance their effectiveness. If players take a piece of cargo in hand, they will deal much damage to the enemy, sometimes knocking them out in one hit. Still, the cargo will be damaged in this method so should be used sparingly.
