Breeding Pandas in Minecraft: The Tutorial and Guide You Need

Pandas are arguably the most cute passive mobs that can be found in the jungle biome.  These mammals won’t help you work like a horse or transport items like a llama. But they will decorate your world. Plus, you can breed them if certain conditions are met. When you kill pandas, they drop bamboo. Though, real joy lies in breeding them and watching the baby panda roll around in your space.

Collecting Bamboo and Setting Up Your Space

The panda’s breeding has been successful due to the bamboo. Bamboo is the main food of panda and main ingredient for breeding. This block spawns in the jungle biome making it easy for players to collect it. However, to make these animals breed, just providing them bamboo is not enough. They require specialised environmental arrangements to breed.

To fulfill the basic needs of pandas, put them within five blocks of a tower of bamboo that is at least eight blocks tall. This height specification is crucial in determining their mating behaviour. If the height is not acceptable, offering the pandas bamboo will also not result in breeding.

Constructing a Protected Panda Environment

Once you have collected bamboo and found a breeding site, the next step is building an enclosure. A fence or wall barrier around your breeding area will prevent pandas from escaping. It also makes the management of moving pandas easier. Keeping them in captivity guarantees that adults pandas are near enough to meet the requirements for bamboo space for breeding.

Providing Food and Welcoming Baby Pandas

When your breeding facility is ready, feeding can begin. One bamboo should be given to every adult panda in your enclosure. Pandas will enter their breeding state when everything is perfect for them. That is, a cub will appear shortly thereafter.

It is adorable to see a panda cub spawn and roll around in Minecraft, and because of this, it takes a little more effort to breed pandas.

Essential Considerations

Breeding pandas is harder than breeding most mobs in Minecraft, but done correctly, it should be no trouble. The three main ingredients for successfully breeding your pandas are: Bamboo Placement, Secure Walls, and Patience! With these techniques in mind, you’ll have your own pack of black and white fellows living at your base.
