To fulfill the basic needs of pandas, put them within five blocks of a tower of bamboo that is at least eight blocks tall. This height specification is crucial in determining their mating behaviour. If the height is not acceptable, offering the pandas bamboo will also not result in breeding.

When your breeding facility is ready, feeding can begin. One bamboo should be given to every adult panda in your enclosure. Pandas will enter their breeding state when everything is perfect for them. That is, a cub will appear shortly thereafter.
